Elegant, adaptable and accessible

Set in 100 acres of rolling parkland, the original College buildings were designed by Augustus Welby Pugin. Considerably extended since then the College now offers facilities suitable for business and recreational activities.

Conferences or courses, rugby matches or wedding receptions, Ratcliffe College will not only provide a beautiful setting and excellent service, but also modern equipment and comfortable accommodation.

Set in the Leicestershire countryside, it lies at the centre of the motorway network, with rapid Inter-City rail links, and both Birmingham and East Midlands International Airport are just a short drive away.

Indeed, the College has something for everyone...

Accommodation

In pleasant study/bedrooms is available for 100 people. Alternatively there is hotel accommodation a few minutes away, ranging from the economical to the luxurious.

College catering is to a uniformly high standard, whether you require boardroom facilities or a full five-course banquet in the splendour of our Refectory.

Educational

Conference rooms can house up to 200 people with full audio-visual capability.

Equally well-equipped is the College's music tuition section, with 12 practice rooms and a Concert Theatre.

Recreational

Not only do Ratcliffe's excellent sports and leisure facilities offer relaxation for hard-working delegates or students, they are also available in their own right to sporting clubs and associations.

Our outdoor grounds offer rugby, soccer and cricket pitches, as well as hard tennis and netball; the Sports Hall can offer squash, badminton, basketball and volleyball.

Nuptials

Nothing could provide a more memorable background to a Roman Catholic Wedding or Blessing than the College's uniquely designed Chapel with organist, choir and orchestra.

After the ceremony, one ideal venue for the reception is the classic elegance of the oak panelled Refectory or Old Library. If you prefer the open air, site a marquee in the shade of our stately horse chestnut trees.

In addition to receptions we offer a wide range of catering including cocktail parties, buffet luncheons and formal dinners. We have ample car parking space for guests and visitors.

Devotionals

Ratcliffe began its life as a novitiate, and its deep-seated Catholic heritage permeates every part of the College.

The tranquillity of the College makes it ideal for retreats and study periods, while the large lecture theatres allow your seminars to recreate Ratcliffe's original purpose.
