Academic Scholarship Awards from September 2007
For entry at Year 7 (tenable for up to 7 years)
| Awards are available as follows 1 of £1,650 per annum 2 of £825 per annum 2 of £645 per annum 2 of £450 per annum |
Candidates for these awards should be under 12 on 1st September of their year of entry into Year 7. Candidates will take the normal 11 + entrance examination papers in English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning and those obtaining the best results will be recommended to the Headmaster for a scholarship. This examination takes place in early January. |
Students already at Ratcliffe College, who qualify by age, may enter for the awards as internal candidates. These scholarships are reviewed annually and, provided good scholastic and discipline standards are maintained, will remain with the student throughout his or her school career. Dates and copies of past papers may be obtained from the Registrar. Entries should be received by 1st December. |
For entry at Year 9 (over and above existing awards)

Awards are available as follows: 1 of £2,100 per annum 2 of £1,080 per annum 4 of £825 per annum 2 of £645 per annum |
Candidates for these awards should be under 14 on 1st September of their year of entry into Year 9. Candidates will take examination papers in English, Mathematics, Science, History, French and Verbal Reasoning. Those obtaining the best results will be recommended to the Headmaster for a scholarship. This examination takes place late February. |

The Henry Goldstraw & Gerald Yell Choral Scholarships |
Candidates for these awards must be over the age of 11. The examination will involve a practical audition and an interview with the Director of Music. Examinations and interviews will take place in March. |
Those obtaining the best results will be recommended to the Headmaster for a scholarship. Students already at Ratcliffe College may be entered for the awards as internal candidates. These scholarships are reviewed annually and, provided good musical contributions are maintained, will remain with the student throughout his or her school career. |
