Team: U11A

On Wednesday 29th November, the U11A hockey team played in a triangular fixture against both Foremarke Hall and Copthill. They went straight into their first match against Foremarke with the same determination and passion shown in their last match against Brooke Priory. We had met Foremarke at IAPS earlier this term and knew they were strong and were ready to have a re-match. The girls played some excellent hockey and the final score was a 0-0 draw. In our second match against Copthill, the girls again played some skilled hockey and enjoyed their game. The final score was 1-0 to Copthill as they sneaked a last minute goal. Well done to all girls. You’ve had a brilliant season, with some great results.

Coach’s Player: Holly McNeeney.

Team: U11B

On Wednesday 29th November, the U11B hockey team also played in a triangular fixture against both Foremarke Hall and Copthill. They played some of their best hockey all season despite the freezing temperatures and drew both their matches 0-0! Well done girls!

Team: U10B

The U10B team played against Foremarke on Wednesday and had a lovely afternoon of hockey. Foremarke were a very tough team and we learnt many lessons on the day. We played four, ten minute games and the girls listened to advice after each match and improved their game after each quarter. By the end of the game, the girls were working really hard as a team and defended well. Zara Etty played very well and had a few attempts at scoring. Isabella Elsby was a brilliant goal-keeper and managed to stop most of Foremarke’s attempts at scoring. The final score was 6-0 to Foremarke.

Players’ Player: Zara Etty

Coach’s Player: Isabella Elsby

Team: U9A and U9B

On Wednesday afternoon, both the U9A and B teams played in a fixture against Copthill. Despite the bitter cold and freezing hands, all of the girls worked superbly together to show off their skills, in their last match of the hockey season.

The girls played four mini matches and the overall results were a win for the B team and a narrow loss for the A team.

Coach’s Player: All of the girls for a great term of hockey. Mrs Southwell and Mrs Gilchrist are very proud of you all – well done!
