We are seeking to appoint Examination Invigilators to commence immediately on a casual basis. No previous experience is required as full training, including a period of shadowing, is provided along with annual update sessions.
The role requires commitment, flexibility, diligence, and attention to detail to ensure the fair and proper conduct of all examinations which take place within the College.
It is essential, and a key College expectation, that Invigilators are available for the entire duration of each examination season. These are typically, two weeks mid-November; two weeks February/March and the main summer season from mid-May to late June. There are also ad-hoc dates, including some Saturdays for the Cambridge English examinations.
All successful candidates will need to be available for the following dates in the current academic year:
Salary: £11.06 per hour
Enhanced rates of pay are available when acting as a reader/scribe – currently £12.55 per hour (with full training provided).
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the pool of Lead Invigilators (recruited annually) which also attracts an enhanced rate of pay – currently £15.45 per hour.*
We are committed to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an open-source check will also be undertaken.
