Graduate Sports Assistant – Fixed Term (Sept 2023 – August 2024)

We are seeking to appoint a Male Graduate Assistant to work within the Sports Department and to assist within the boys’ Boarding House. 

Fixed Term, Sept 23 to Aug 24.

£13,550 + free accommodation and all meals during term time.

This post would be ideal for a graduate who is considering a career in Education or Sports Coaching. You will gain extensive experience through being an integral part of both the Physical Education Department and the Boarding Staff Team.  There will be opportunities for you to make a significant input into the broader life of the College, based on your particular strengths and interests.

The Role of the Graduate Assistant is split into two main areas:

Within the Sports Department, taking responsibility for School teams as well as assisting with PE and Games lessons (particularly Netball) across the age range of the College.

Within Boarding, working as part of the duty team assisting with activities, trips and supervision in the evening and at weekends.

To be successful, you will:

• be enthusiastic;
• be able to use your own initiative;
• take responsibility;
• have high professional standards;
• be proficient in a Sport eg Rugby/Hockey/Athletics/Tennis
• demonstrate an interest in pastoral care

Full-board accommodation is provided as well as a salary.  In addition, there will be CPD opportunities.
