Graduate Sports Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Graduate Sports Assistant to work within the Sports Department and to assist within the boys Boarding House. To commence 01 September 2023; fixed term contract to 31 August 2024

Ratcliffe College is an outstanding independent school for over 900 students from age 3 to age 18. We have recently expanded our sporting facilities to now include: a second AstroTurf, a new running track, a fantastic new Fitness Suite opened in spring 2019 and a second Sports Hall has opened in January 2020.

This is a residential post and ideally, we are looking to appoint a university graduate however undergraduates on a placement year will be considered and are encouraged to apply. The post would be ideal for somebody considering a career in education or sports coaching. You will gain extensive experience through being an integral part of both the Physical Education Department and the Boarding Staff Team. There will be opportunities for you to make a significant input into the broader life of the college, based on your particular strengths and interests.

The Role of the Graduate Sports Assistant is split into two main areas:

Within the Sports Department, taking responsibility for school teams as well as assisting with PE and Games lessons across the age range of the college.

Within Boarding, working as part of the duty team assisting with activities, trips, and supervision in the evening and at weekends.

Full-board accommodation is provided as well as a salary. In addition, there will be CPD opportunities.
