Ratcliffe College is a friendly and vibrant independent day and boarding school for over 900 students from age 3 to age 18. Our in-house catering service offers a very busy and friendly working environment producing quality cuisine for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner along with important school functions throughout the year. Our catering services continue throughout the school holidays catering for staff and corporate activities.

The following position is available to work alongside the Head Chef as part of our supervisory team.

Sous Chef – £28,442 per annum

Working along side our Head Chef as part of a team of 9 you will assist in the day to day running of our kitchen ensuring that standards and quality are maintained. You will need to have a flexible approach, working 39 hours per week on a 5-week rota, with 8-hour shifts covering from 6.00am to 7.30pm Monday to Sunday.

You will be working with fresh ingredients, catering for an extensive range of catering needs, from freshly produced school meals to banquets and weddings.

An NVQ level 3 in food preparation and supervision or equivalent is desirable but not essential, training will be provided. You will need to have experience and familiarity of working in a busy kitchen environment.
