Year 9 and Year 12 Scholarships

Each year, we are delighted to offer several scholarships to students entering Year 9 and Year 12, current students as well as external applicants.

Students wishing to be considered for a scholarship must complete the relevant application process and submit all required supporting documentation by Friday 27th November 2026.

Applications will be assessed against the published scholarship criteria, and shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an assessment, audition, interview or provide further evidence of achievement, depending on the scholarship category.

Celebrating Excellence and Potential

At Ratcliffe College, our Catholic Rosminian heritage inspires us to recognise the God‑given gifts, talents and potential within every young person. Rooted in compassion, service and a belief in the unique dignity of each student, our scholarship programme celebrates those who strive for excellence and contribute positively to our vibrant school community.

Our scholarships recognise students who demonstrate exceptional ability, impressive potential or outstanding achievement in their chosen field. We warmly encourage families to apply if their child is ready to embrace new challenges and broaden their horizons.

Scholarship Awards

Scholarship recipients typically receive a tuition fee remission of 5% awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster. The level of award reflects both the strength of the application and the number of scholarships available each year.

Some scholarships are also offered on an honorary basis, recognising a student’s dedication, contribution and promise, even where no financial award is attached. These honorary scholarships remain a prestigious mark of distinction within the College.

Bursaries

As a Catholic school with a Rosminian ethos, our aim is to help children who, under normal circumstances, would not be able to benefit from a Ratcliffe education. Students and their families must be in sympathy with the Catholic ethos of the College. Students will also be expected to play an active part in the life of the school.

Our Bursary awards are designed to support students from low income families and are available for up to 100% of a student’s school Fee.

All awards are subject to parental means testing.
