Ratcliffe College offers a unique residential UK Summer School for international students aged 10 - 17, combining academic enrichment, English language development, specialist academies, and cultural experiences in a traditional British boarding school setting.
Students can participate in:
- Intensive English Language lessons
- A varied programme of multi-activities and sports integrated with Ratcliffe College students
- Specialist Piano Masterclass Week. partnered with Steinway & Sons
- Specialist Tennis Summer Academy
- Twice-weekly cultural trips to explore the UK
All programmes are taught and supervised by Ratcliffe College's experienced teaching staff, ensuring high academic standards, excellent pastoral care, and a safe, supportive residential environment.
Residential Summer Programme
International students may join our UK Summer School for a minimum of one week and up to four weeks, with flexible arrival and departure every Sunday. This flexibility allows families to tailor the experience to suit travel plans and learning goals.

Summer School Programmes for International Students:
1. Intensive English Language Programme, with Multi-Activities
£1320.00 (Incl. VAT) per student, per week.
Our Intensive English Language Programme is at the heart of the Ratcliffe College International Summer School experience. Students take part in over 30 hours of structured English and multi-activity lessons per week, designed to accelerate language development and build lasting confidence in real-world communication. The programme is available for stays of 1 to 4 weeks, allowing students the flexibility to immerse themselves in English language learning for as long as they choose.
The course is built to enhance fluency and accuracy, empowering students to leave feeling inspired, motivated, and more confident in their English skills.
2. Steinway & Sons Grand Piano Masterclass Summer Experience with Multi-Activities
£1,860 per week (Incl. VAT) | Limited Availability: Week 1 & Week 3
Elevate your piano skills at the Steinway & Sons Piano Masterclass, a prestigious and unique UK summer programme for young pianists. Available for booking in:
- Week 1: Sunday 12th – Sunday 19th July 2026
- Week 3: Sunday 26th July – Sunday 2nd August 2026
This one-of-a-kind programme at Ratcliffe College offers talented students an intensive, week-long musical experience. Participants will refine technique, expand musical expression, and perform in a supportive, inspiring environment. Join fellow young musicians from around the world and immerse yourself in a transformative piano programme designed to challenge and inspire.
3. Summer Tennis Academy, with Multi-Activities
£1560.00 (Incl. VAT) per student, per week.
Our Summer Tennis Programme offers young players the ideal opportunity to develop their skills while experiencing a traditional British summer school environment. Whether beginners building confidence or more advanced players refining competitive performance, students benefit from structured, personalised coaching designed to improve technique, tactical awareness, fitness and match play.
Delivered on Ratcliffe’s outstanding tennis courts and first-class sports facilities, the programme combines high-quality training with qualified LTA-accredited coaches, ensuring professional and age-appropriate instruction. Alongside intensive tennis development, students enjoy a varied multi-activity schedule in the afternoons alongside British students.
4. Non-Residential Programme, with Multi-Activities (Ideal for International families staying locally)
£900 per week, per student (Incl. VAT)
For international families planning a stay in the UK, Ratcliffe College offers a flexible non-residential Summer School option that allows students to join the full daytime programme while living with family nearby.
Available for 1 to 4 weeks, this option is perfect for families who wish to stay together while their child enjoys a high-quality educational and social experience in a safe, supportive environment. Students participate in all lessons, activities, and evening Supper at 6.00pm before being picked up between 6.45pm - 7.00pm.
