House Maths Competition: The Challenge Heats Up!
The Ratcliffe House Maths Competition continues to gather momentum, with students across the College showing outstanding enthusiasm, determination, and problem-solving skills.
In the latest round, an impressive 224 students took part, demonstrating their commitment to stretching their mathematical thinking beyond the classroom. Each round has brought new challenges, encouraging participants to think creatively, work logically, and persevere through complex problems.
Once again, Leetham House emerged as the overall winner for this round, building on their strong performance in previous stages of the competition. Their consistent results reflect both teamwork and individual excellence, setting a high standard for the other houses to aim for.
So far, nearly 1,000 entries have been submitted across the first four rounds, with students from Arundell, De Lisle, Emery, and Leetham all making valuable contributions. The competition remains closely contested, with every correct answer earning crucial points for each house.
The results to date show:
- Leetham leading the way with the highest number of correct answers
- Arundell and De Lisle close behind with strong, steady performances
- Emery continuing to demonstrate determination and resilience
Alongside the competitive element, the House Maths Competition has fostered a real sense of community and shared enthusiasm for learning. Students have embraced the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and celebrate each other’s successes.
With Round 5 now underway, participants are encouraged to keep testing their skills and giving their best effort. Every entry counts, and with more rounds still to come, there is plenty of time for the leaderboard to change.
Well done to everyone who has taken part so far, and good luck to all students in the next round. We look forward to seeing how the competition unfolds!
