Ratcliffe College is a Roman Catholic Independent School, yet inclusive of all. Our rich Rosminian heritage means that our education is underpinned by Gospel Values, and we teach young people regardless of faith, colour or creed.

We are a co-educational School because life is co-educational, and we emphasise the importance of diversity in all we do.

As a through School, we educate children from 3 to 18. Often, we find that a good number of our Sixth Formers have been with us since entering the Nursery, demonstrating the strength of relationships that exist between our students and their teachers.

Ratcliffe College is a boarding and day School making use of the advantages of an extended day, ensuring your child can enjoy the extraordinary breadth of co-curricular activities including sport, music, drama, CCF, DofE, community service, Chaplaincy and much more.

Our vibrant boarding community enjoys a strong international flavour within our community, something that has long been part of the College’s history and which enables students to experience first-hand the wonders that can be found in celebrating difference, and the importance of tolerance and respect for diversity within our communities in and out of School.

We are rural yet accessible; blessed with 200 acres of beautiful grounds, our students benefit daily, by working and playing within a truly inspirational physical environment which allows them the space to think and reflect away from urban areas.

Quite simply, we inspire happiness, and a happy child is a successful child. By every measure, we are truly an outstanding School. It was reassuring to have all of this confirmed during our most recent ISI inspection, where Ratcliffe was judged as Excellent in all categories.
