Games – Ages 16-18

Students in the Sixth Form enjoy a variety of activities during their games afternoon, which takes place once a week.  Squad players follow the major sports programme and enjoy midweek and Saturday fixtures.

Other activities on offer include, Zumba, badminton, volleyball, basketball, fitness suite, football, orienteering, ultimate Frisbee, running, rock climbing and canoeing, and much more.

Sports Scholarships are available for entry into Year 12.

Why do Physical Exercise

It is a well-established fact that physical exercise is extremely beneficial for those who wish to succeed in their studies, and the facilities at the school allow plenty of opportunities for students to get involved with the busy sporting programme.

Co-Curricular Activities

Games plays an important part in the co-curricular programme.  A major emphasis of the programme is the pursuit of excellence and school representation in the major sports teams, which include rugby, boys’ and girls’ hockey, netball, cricket and tennis.  Ratcliffe has a strong reputation for the quality of its sports teams and all students are expected to join in.
