Information for Students

Ratcliffe College Summer School aims to support students of all abilities to improve their English in a friendly, caring, comfortable and encouraging environment.

We offer an exciting and unique Summer School experience, with a diverse mix of students from a broad range of backgrounds and destinations. You can choose from a good selection of activities to take part in; with core subjects such as Sport, Media and Design and Technology alongside team-building, orienteering and creative activities. You’ll even have time for a fun quiz or treasure hunt too.

Ratcliffe College is a boarding and day school with over 170 years’ experience of educating young people, with excellent facilities set in 200 acres of beautiful grounds, this is the perfect environment to develop your skills in English. You can socialise with students aged 11-15 from other countries and immerse yourself in a wide variety of cultural, musical and sporting co-curricular activities.

Last summer I went to Ratcliffe Summer School. I spent two lovely weeks in England. We did lots of activities every day, on Mondays and Wednesdays students from the School came to meet us and speak English together. It was cool! I made lost of friends.

The Summer School at Ratcliffe College was both fun and rewarding. There were lots of activities throughout the two weeks. We were fully occupied from morning to evening. The lessons in the morning included many different topics and there was a good chance to brush up on our vocabulary.
