Prep School Sports Report – 14th May
Cricket Report v Bilton Grange: On Saturday 12th May the U11A and B Cricket squads travelled to Bilton Grange to play their first cricket matches of the season. Both games were keenly contested and the results were decided by the finest of margins.
The U11B team set a first innings total of 84 for Bilton Grange to chase and unfortunately with overs running out the Bilton batsman managed to get the win scoring 85.
The U11A boys were set the target of 95 to win and unfortunately on this occasion we ran out of overs making 89 before the close of the innings.
It is always hard to be defeated when you are so close to victory but all of the boys showed a high level of focus and skill level in all aspects of the game. There will be plenty more opportunities, weather permitting, for the boys to recover and taste victory before the end of the season.
Well done to all of the boys who played.
