Many students feel that the quality of their studies and application of their skills improves greatly when they live onsite, with access to a focused learning environment and regular routines helps many of our students to achieve over their potential.

At Ratcliffe, boarders have access to high quality sports and fitness facilities, including flood-lit pitches, athletics track, basketball, badminton and tennis courts, as well as our state-of-the-art fitness suite. With our Boarding Houses’ located in the heart of the School, our boarders benefit from easy access to the prestigious Emery Library and our innovative learning spaces to help support their studies.

Our boarding students have everything they need ‘on their doorstep’ to excel, while making the most of all our co-curricular opportunities too!

Our newly refurbished, modern boarding rooms (single, double and triple), and welcoming communal areas, have added a fresh dimension to our boarding facilities. Our Boarding Houses are comfortable, clean, modern spaces which cater specifically for the needs of young people. Our central Boarders’ Lounge is a great space to socialise with friends, keep in touch with family and unwind from the school day. The lounge includes a pool table, flat-screen television, music station, comfortable seating and well-equipped kitchenette.

Ratcliffe College is centred upon excellent pastoral care. Living and learning together, our boarding students form strong bonds with their peers, our Housemaster/Housemistress, boarding staff and teaching staff.
