Earthquake-proof LEGO towers at Engineering INSPIRE!

Thank you to Charlotte Owen from Nottingham University Engineering Dept. for last night’s INSPIRE. At the start of the event, 5 teams were given 15 minutes to build earthquake-proof towers out of LEGO, with prizes for the winners. Charlotte then gave a fascinating presentation on the myriad of opportunities in the world of engineering. As part of our outreach programme, we were also delighted to welcome staff and students from Rushey Mead Academy to this exciting event.
Next INSPIRE – Wednesday 18th April, 7pm:
‘Quantum Mechanics’ and ‘What stuff is made of’, led by students from Leicester University Physics Dept.
