Early Years Assistant – Part Time

Part time, 28.5 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks (36 weeks)

We seek an Early Years Assistant in the Nursery setting, bringing expertise and experience working with young children to provide excellent support and teaching to our pupils. We want to invest in a member of staff for the long term, and support their development and impact as they work within our Nursery provision.

This role will primarily be to support the lead teacher in our Pre-School (Cygnets) class. As a team of two, you will provide high quality learning opportunities through exciting activities across the EYFS curriculum, whilst incorporating and maintaining a safe, secure and caring environment. Therefore a motivation to provide fun, educational care for children is essential.

This role also requires a degree of flexibility as during the Autumn term, with less Cygnet children enrolled (they begin aged 3), you will also support our Reception classes.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Experience of working effectively in a high-quality nursery or school based EYFS setting
Experience of working with 3-4 year olds

It is essential that you have:

A full and relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3 or above
Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
