Snowfall Notice for Thursday 8th February 2024

Ratcliffe College will be Open as normal.

The Met Office have forecasted light snowfall for Leicestershire tomorrow morning, with a band of rain and sleet expected in the afternoon. In light of the arising forecast, please know that Ratcliffe College will remain Open as normal on Thursday 8^th February 2024. School buses will be operating via their usual routes – we are not aware of any revisions at this point.

Please consider if your own journey is safe tomorrow morning – if it is not, do not travel. If you feel that it is unsafe to travel then you should inform the school via email to prepadmin@ratcliffecollege.com (for students in Nursery – Year 6), and absences@ratcliffecollege.com (for students in Years 7 – 13), stating the name of your child and the fact that they will be absent.

For those travelling in, please take extra care on the roads tomorrow morning and leave plenty of time for your journey.

Co-curricular activities after-school will remain in place as advertised in the calendar until further notice.

The school site will be assessed for safety first thing tomorrow morning, with walkways and paths cleared, if required. Should we expect any changes to the school day tomorrow, following the early site inspection, a further communication will be sent out by email to all parents before 7.00am tomorrow morning. If you do not hear from us, it is business as usual – with registration commencing at 8.25am.
